Meet My Pets

J-B Ranch Winter 1 Peter 4:10 – “God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings.” J-B Ranch Summer

I live with my husband and two sons on a small farm with enough space to own and care for our own pets. We are thankful for the land the Lord has allowed us to borrow during our time on earth, and we are thankful for the love He has allowed us to find in the many creatures who have enriched our lives.

Meet the current residents of J-B Ranch:

Blazer

Blazer is a handsome, brindle Labrador mix we adopted from an animal shelter. Why spend hundreds of dollars for a purebred puppy when such a treasure can be found at the shelter? He has shared his wonderful personality with others as a certified therapy dog, and he currently spreads smiles at public events by performing his entertaining Canine Musical Freestyle routines. I am truly blessed to have this exceptional dog in my life!

Ruby

Ruby is another custom-designed rescue dog. A pretty little German Shepherd mix, Ruby is pure GSD inside and out, but she came in a wonderfully small, 40-pound package. With a heart ten times the size of her body, and the intelligence and drive of a typical working dog, she has tremendous potential to become another exceptional dog! Blazer sure has good taste in girlfriends!

Skittles and Pepper

Can you tell which is which? Fortunately, looks are the only thing these two kitties have in common! Their personalities are as different as the brothers who own them. Skittles takes after my son, Justin, with her mischievous ways, youthful energy and independent nature. Pepper is more outgoing, sensitive and affectionate like his owner, Johnny. But there is one thing they all have in common: Kids and kitties are so-ooo entertaining!

Windy, the horse little girls' dreams are made of
Windy

Windy is a beautiful gray Arabian mare, approximately 22 years old. I bought her—or rescued her—from a horse dealer 19 years ago. She was a pathetic skeleton with fur, bloated with parasites and untrained. After paying the $175 purchase price, she became a long-standing fixture at J-B Ranch. She is as sweet as a puppy and absolutely loves people!

Black Jack

Black Jack is a gorgeous 18-year-old Tennessee Walker gelding. He could easily pass as a double for Black Beauty. He is a tall, elegant horse with a spark of energy, a love for adventure, and a temperament so steady that a nuclear bomb wouldn't phase him. One feels like a prince or princess upon his back!
